Art of Jim

Lost Alone at Nottingham’s Rock City venue.  Terrific band with a genuinely nice set of fans.

Blue Peter - Making up a small studio so that everything is blacked out but maintaining a reflection on a small budget! The joys of ebay and jumble sales!

The fate of Lady Jane Grey - Bradgate park,a childhood home for Lady Jane Grey.

Alter Bridge - Had this signed a while ago by Alter Bridge. Never seen a drummer so excited with the prospect of defacing a guitar and getting away it.

Midnight the Husky, Samoyed and a Swan at Bradgate.

Rose - Bit late for Valentines!

Room 94 - Nottingham Rescue Rooms.  There were quite large number of fans desperately reaching towards their idols on stage.. It was one of those moments that I opted to take a shot that wasn’t really of the band but captured what it was like to be there. A sea of arms and mobile phones.

Room 94 - Nottingham Rescue Rooms. Great fun meeting the guys, and their fans were exceptionally vocal.  The home made signs and banners in the audience made for interesting reading too.

It’s amazing how much of our heritage has just been sold off without consultation, old churches and pubs, railway lines, art and so on.  With austerity, more has gone.  This huge viaduct now lies on private land.I was informed that I wasn’t allowed to take photos from the road by some passers by, and that if I was selling the photos for money, the farmer would “have them off” me. Generally speaking, touching my camera is not a good idea.  I also suspect that the farmer would probably be fine if asked beforehand and didn’t get too many similar requests, so that may be something for the future.
